Biography

Mark’s career path has been just as diverse as his personal interests. He started as a commercial photographer before venturing into entrepreneurship, where he owned a construction firm. His dedication to sustainability led him to take his first Passive House training in 2009, and he now proudly holds the title of Certified Passive House Trades Person (CPHT). Over the years, he has donned various hats, from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager, and even an Operations Manager. Mark’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond his professional endeavors. He generously dedicates his time to organizations like the Colorado Green Building Guild and the Passive House Network, where he actively contributes to the betterment of our environment.

Mark hails from the great state of Michigan and has been a proud Coloradan for the past 16 years. He shares his life journey with his lovely wife, Tami, who is a dedicated teacher, and their two wonderful kids. Jonah, their eldest, is a skilled chef, while Reese is a globe-trotter with an insatiable appetite for exploration. In addition to his family life, Mark is a true renaissance man. He channels his creativity into multiple avenues such as music, photography, and the outdoors. You’ll often find him capturing his surroundings with his camera, and when he’s not doing that, he’s embracing the great outdoors as a hiker and mountain biker.

When he’s not immersed in his work or volunteer efforts, Mark can be found unwinding with his favorite pastimes, which include indulging in movies and championing the cause of Passive House construction. His dedication to the environment runs deep, making him a valuable asset to our team.
