Off Grid Passive House Overlooking the Colorado Front Range
N estled in the Colorado Front Range, this project harmonizes with the landscape, filling a once-empty hillside. An outdoor ramp links two inviting patios, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Step inside, and you'll discover a space that's both creative and cozy. It hosts a gallery, an art studio, and two bedrooms. The design keeps things simple yet stylish, featuring a cork ceiling, clay plaster walls, and polished concrete floors.
What's really impressive is its eco-friendly design. This off-grid home, designed by Hyperlocal Workshop as a Passive House Plus, harnesses the power of timber passive solar windows and snow-shedding solar electric panels. This innovative home leads the way in sustainable construction by being among the first in the US to incorporate the EcoCocon straw panel system.
